As a child, Louison Grajcar already dreamed of perfumes.
Curious and solitary, he preferred herbariums and stamp collections to children's games, perhaps his way of making sense of the world through patience and the senses.
Unaware that perfumery schools even existed, he took the path of Fine Arts, specialising in fashion, before presenting his collections. Fashion taught him the discipline of craft and the power of identity, yet something was missing.
He then enrolled in a perfumery school, while simultaneously studying at the European School of Herbal Medicine in Brussels, before specialising as a formulator at Charabot.
Encouraged by fellow perfumers, he launched Technique Indiscrète. The name is no coincidence.
Louison observed something intimate in the way a perfume acts upon us: a scent can suddenly bring back a memory, stir an emotion, touch what we keep most private.
But when he invites someone to smell his creations and that person begins to speak, to share their memories, their emotions, their life, something unexpected happens. They open up. They reveal themselves.
His creative process is equally singular. In a place, before a scene, a flash arises, emotional, sensorial, a surge of feeling. All his senses unfold at once, like sudden access to a universal library. Strange and exhilarating in equal measure, this state resembles an elevation, almost shamanic.
Louison notes everything: the sensations, the phrases that come, the images that pass through. He records in notebooks what others cannot perceive, this world of the invisible crossing the visible, which he has always sensed and which has inhabited him with a growing naturalness.
This ability has been refined over time, nourished by a perpetual thirst for knowledge, a quest for self, and a deep interconnection with the living world. It is from here that his perfumes are born and their names, always evocative, always laden with meaning.
